Quebec High School Students Can Have Proms & Grad Balls This July
Quebec high schools will be able to host outdoor proms as of July 8, Premier François Legault confirmed in a press conference.
The premier said proms in Quebec will be permitted two weeks after June 24. That's when the majority of teenagers in the province are expected to have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

A maximum of 250 people will be permitted to attend each prom, and students will not need to wear masks or practice social distancing.
"From July 8, we could have outdoor dances, but with tents [...] That means all kinds of closeness [is] allowed," Legault said.
"Young people will be able to dance together and be less than one metre away. So we're doing a special without masks."
Renting a venue for a graduation ceremony or a prom will also be possible, but will be limited to occupancy rules.
