A verified TikTok account, named @restepepe, features elderly Quebecers doing things young Quebecers would be able to do if they got their COVID-19 vaccines — like twerking at a pool party, TikTok dances with friends and beauty blender tutorials for a night out.
The account, which amassed over 500,000 followers since its first video last December, is run by three senior citizen influencers and the Quebec government. It's part of a campaign to "encourage the youth" to get COVID-19 vaccines and it's making use of TikTok — or, as it's called in @restepepe's bio: "TicTac."

The account's most-viewed video was posted in March — and with over 10 million views, it features a senior Quebecer changing outfits with some of the cleanest transitions TikTok has ever seen.
A July 13 tweet by Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé showed that Quebecers aged 18 to 29 are lagging behind other age groups when it comes to COVID-19 vaccines.
As of July 12, just 20% of Quebecers aged 18 to 29 had received a second dose.
"If you are one of the 90k unvaccinated people between the ages of 18 and 34, there is still time to get your first dose so that you are properly vaccinated by August 31," Dubé tweeted.
