Public pools in Montreal are going to be very necessary if the rest of the summer continues to have record-breaking temperatures. And if there's anything to know about Montreal heatwaves is that there isn't just one. They usually come in... Well, waves. So you can pretty much guarantee there's going to be another one.

Anyone who's lived through both temperature extreme in the city knows that the only thing worse than Montreal cold is Montreal heat.

And after waiting all winter for summer, we want to be outside no matter what.

Of course, you can only be outside in during a heatwave if you keep safe.

For lots of Montrealers, finding a way to cool off in the heat can sometimes be difficult.

That's why we took made a list of public pools in the city to keep in mind for the next bout of extremes.

As things continue to reopen, though, it's always a good idea to check the websites or call ahead to find out if the spot you're interested in has any updated regulations, time limits or closed-off change rooms.
