Tucked between a bar and a Dollarama, Montrealers will be able to find a little escape to the North Pole this year. Verdun's "Enchanted Alley" is all decked out and ready to welcome visitors eager to take some cheerful holiday photos amid the doom and gloom of this year's holiday season.

The alley consists of a row of evergreens leading up to a façade decorated to look like a snowy countryside cabin.

It's specially designed to host winter photoshoots.

On December 12 and 19, photographer Caroline Perron will be on-site to take portraits of people who had booked an appointment in advance.

The appointments are sold out, but a spokesperson for Promenade Wellington confirmed to MTL Blog that Montrealers are still welcome to visit the alley on other dates to take and share their own photos with the hashtag #promenadewellington.

The Enchanted Alley is just one of the organization's initiatives this year to make the trendy commercial street (in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world) a destination this holiday season.

Visitors to rue Wellington will also find a 13-foot illuminated moose, local shops with festive decorations by a local craftsperson, and even a socially-distant choir.
