Just a 30-minute car ride from downtown Montreal is the Boisé du Tremblay, Longueuil's largest nature park — a wooded area covering more than 260 hectares, according to the city website.

The park offers some easy hikes right outside Montreal.

In recent years, the city explains, the park has undergone significant rehabilitation in order to protect its ecosystems and enhance the visitor experience.

Among the new features are boardwalks and "observation points" visitors can enjoy as they stroll among the trees and marshes.

If Instagram is any indication, the boardwalks offer some pretty great views of the surrounding landscape.

Note that the Boucherville sector of the woods is managed separately and, according to Nature-Action Québec, subject to occasional temporary closures.
