If you're thinking about switching jobs or just wondering which Montreal-based employers are actually walking the walk when it comes to workplace culture, Forbes just released a new list that might help.

For its inaugural ranking of "Canada's Best Employers for Company Culture," Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 40,000 Canadians working at companies with at least 500 employees. Participants rated their employers anonymously on things like fairness, inclusion, recognition, collaboration, and career growth. The results were then combined with past survey data to form a final list of 200 organizations.

Montreal companies showed up strong on the list, but some of the highest-ranking workplaces are elsewhere in Quebec, including the No. 1 spot.

Université Laval in Quebec City took the top honour, followed by The Hershey Company (Mississauga), Oak Valley Health (Markham), Humber College (Toronto), and Université de Sherbrooke. That means two of the top five employers are Quebec-based educational institutions.

Here in Montreal, local employers that made the cut include universities, public institutions, banks, and major companies in healthcare, tech, and aerospace. Here's a look at the ones that stood out for their strong company culture:
