Montreal restaurant Kwizinn's new Old Port location will transport you to the Caribbean
"New location, new menu, new vibe."

After serving up a fusion of mouthwatering Caribbean food in Montreal's Verdun borough for years, Kwizinn has officially moved to a new location — offering up more space, colourful vibes and a menu you don't want to miss out on.
Following a bitter-sweet goodbye to its Wellington location last month, Kwizinn is officially up and running at its new Old Port location on rue Saint-Paul O., directly across from the iconic Marché Bonsecours.
As you enter the restaurant, you're met with a remarkable arched bar adorned with black and gold accents that stands as the centre of the new space, tying in with the remaining light fixtures that create nothing short of a cozy and warm atmosphere.
The space spans seating for over 100 people, including a brand new private room in the restaurant's lower level available by reservation for anniversaries, events or more intimate gatherings.
As for the menu, guests can dive into Chef Mike Lafaille's brilliant creations including the bao buns, plantain burger, mac and cheese, a variety of meat and fish dishes and of course, Kwizinn's standout sharing platter featuring a selection of the chef's most palatable dishes.
MTL Blog spoke with Chef Mike regarding the new spot and it's safe to say he and co-owner Claudia Fio couldn't be happier with the new restaurant. "We absolutely cannot wait for Kwizinn’s newest adventure in the Old Port. Guests will be able to enjoy a Kwizinn experience like never before. New location, new menu, new vibe," he said.
In addition to the new space, Kwizinn is rolling out a series of planned events now that it can host more people. Following its successful Cuban night, which has since become a permanent theme every Sunday night at Kwizinn, the Caribbean restaurant is also throwing a drag brunch on Sunday, April 7, with special guests Aizysse Baga, Misty Waterfalls and Kiara. Tickets are available for purchase on Kwizinn's Eventbrite page.
For music lovers, Gardy Girault and Pat Boogie will be performing live at Kwizinn on April 19 for an unforgettable night of tunes, tasty cocktails and delicious food. Tickets for the electrifying night are available here.
For those who can't make Kwizinn's events, you can also get in on the action every Friday and Saturday night where live entertainment is always offered.
Bon appétit, Montreal.
