Old Montreal has welcomed a brand new Japanese restaurant to its roster of must-try eateries and this spot promises to transport you and your taste buds to the streets of Tokyo.

Located in the Old Port, Yubari has officially opened its doors on rue McGill, inside the chic Hôtel St. Paul, offering authentic dishes and an unforgettable ambiance.

The new Montreal restaurant will be open for both lunch and dinner, allowing patrons to enjoy "Japanese-inspired Asian culinary creations," at any time of day.

The menu is full of your fave Japanese dishes including Yubari's stunning sashimi platter made up of salmon, fresh tuna, yellowtail, and mackerel, to name a few. The Signature Yubari maki roll is also exceptional as is the mixed nigiri plate for those looking for the ultimate sushi experience.

A few other faves include the gyoza, edamame, and the spicy jalapeño roll — all of which look just as stunning as they taste. The visual presentation is unparalleled, elevating a dish as simple as a sushi roll into a culinary masterpiece. So much so that you'll almost feel bad for eating what can best be described as foodie artwork.

The new Montreal restaurant is decorated with signature wagasa umbrellas, dim lighting and leopard print seating for an added sultry touch. Not to mention the woodwork is reminiscent of traditional Japanese architecture.

Guests are invited to reserve online or by phone for lunch or dinner, and you can opt for bar or table seating.

So, who's hungry?
