"We begin our preparation for the next electoral campaign."
Staff Writer

Now that we're through one big election, Montrealers should gear up for another that's just around the corner. At a press conference on Sunday, Mayor Valérie Plante and her team celebrated Project Montréal's three years in office and outlined the party's vision for the 2021 Montreal municipal election

Highlighting her party's commitment to progressive politics and values, Mayor Plante hopes that the citizens of Montreal will vote her in for a second term.

We begin our preparation for the next electoral campaign, during which we will ask the population to give us a second term.

Mayor Valérie Plante

"The values we bring at Projet Montréal must more than ever serve to support the population, take care of our neighbourhoods, revive our economy and ensure the future development of our city," said the mayor

"Projet Montréal is the right party, in the right place, at the right time to get there."

The upcoming election will see Mayor Plante having to tackle several difficult issues, including the economic situation caused by the pandemic, systemic racism in the SPVM, and the resentment over bike paths and construction.

"Our team will be ready, and it will be supported by thousands [...] who will fight alongside us," she said.
