Tulip season has officially begun at Tulipes.ca, the tulip fields near Montreal where you can pick your own tulips. The fields reopened for flower-picking on May 1. 

In an Instagram announcement, Tulipes.ca made sure to mention that it reopened on Saturday because "many of our clients prefer closed tulips." If you prefer to see more colour, it's recommended that you wait a few more days.

Tulipes.ca says it will post pictures of the field daily so customers know what to expect. 

You must wear a mask, disinfect your hands, keep a 6-foot distance and stay in your family bubble while you're there.

Tulipes.ca has two locations — one in Laval and one in Boucherville. The fields are open every day until 6 p.m.

General admission is $9.95 and tulips each cost $1. You can buy tickets online.

Tulipes.ca opens for the 2021 season

Price: General admission is $9.95 and tulips are $1 each. Prices vary for kids, seniors, Mother's Day and bulk tulip purchases.

When: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
