Summer may be winding down, but Quebec's weather forecast is here to remind us that it's not over yet.

After a chilly stretch that made it feel like fall had already begun, Montreal's weather is taking a U-turn, and this weekend is shaping up to feel more like July than mid-September.

Residents across Quebec may be checking the skies and wrapping up warm this week as a large weather system looms over Eastern Canada, threatening climatic extremes.

While it's officially springtime in Quebec, it appears as if the lingering winter weather isn't bowing out as gracefully as we'd hoped. The Quebec weather forecast is calling for up to 20 centimetres of snow and it's safe to say we've all about had enough of this wintry nonsense.

The Weather Network says that another "messy system" is set to bring in more snow, rain and ice to parts of southern Quebec and Ontario.

Buckle up, folks because a snowstorm is about to hit southern Quebec...again. Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for several regions across the province — some of which are expected to receive up to 25 centimetres of snow.

The federal weather department issued the weather warning for the Eastern Townships, Gatineau, Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Châteauguay, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Hyacinthe, Vaudreuil, Soulanges and Huntingdon.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the Island of Montreal indicating that "difficult winter conditions" will take over Montreal starting Saturday. As spring break season fast approaches for students across Quebec, it seems as if incoming weather conditions just might impact vacation plans.

According to The Weather Network, a low-pressure system from the southwest of the United States is "loaded with moisture" from the Gulf of Mexico and unfortunately, it's heading north. As a result, forecasts are predicting accumulations to be "significant," especially for western and southern Quebec.

It appears as if Mother Nature is sending back-to-back snowstorms in Quebec's direction as the province prepares for yet another snowy weekend. Conditions are shaping up to be pretty intense, to say the least, and considering snowfall is expected to be significant in some areas, road conditions could be particularly difficult.

Environment Canada (EC) has now issued a snow squall warning and watch for various regions across the province including Amqui-Matapedia Valley, Baie-Comeau, Charlevoix, Chibougamau, Kamouraska-Rivière-du-Loup, La Tuque, Lac-Saint-Jean, Les Escoumins-Forestville, Matane, Parent-Reservoir Gouin, Réserve faunique des Laurentides, Rimouski-Mont-Joli, Manicouagan River, Saguenay, and Témiscouata.
