Montreal has much to be proud of after not one, but two hotels in the heart of the city were ranked among the best in all of Canada.

Travel + Leisure dropped its 2024 World's Best Awards covering travel, lifestyle and hospitality across the globe. When it came to the best of the best hotels in Canada, two Montreal spots managed to make the esteemed list.

Travel + Leisure readers were asked to weigh in on travel experience across the world, and share opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruises, spas and so much more.

Over 186,000 readers completed the 2024 survey. A total of more than 700,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties. As for hotels, they were specifically rated on criteria including rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value.

The St. Regis in Toronto (95.2), the Fairmont Empress in Vancouver (94.61) and the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver (94.25), all made the top three.

So, which two Montreal hotels made the cut?

The Ritz Carlton ranked highest of the two, scoring fifth overall and receiving a score of 93.14. The lavish hotel is located downtown Montreal on rue Sherbooke, and it known for its top tier rooms, spa facilities and of course, dining options, which include the renowned Maison Boulud.

The Four Seasons Hotel Montreal ranked eighth overall, and received a score of 91.25. Known for its rooftop terrasse Marcus, and Guerlain Spa, the Four Seasons is easily one of the best in Montreal, and well…all of Canada.
