In the face of mounting economic challenges, the Canadian government offers a variety of federal benefits and credits aimed at assisting Canadians, especially to low-income families.
The Climate Action Incentive Payment (CAIP) is a tax-free sum designed to assist qualifying individuals and families in mitigating the expenses associated with federal pollution pricing. With the surge in inflation, rising rents, and soaring grocery costs, many Canadian families experiencing economic pressure are actively seeking relief and the CAIP could offer financial assistance.
It's important to verify your eligibility as you can be entitled to anywhere from $92 to $193 for individuals sent out in four quarterly payments throughout the year.
Here's everything you need to know about the Climate Action Incentive Payment, who is eligible, how much you can get and when payments go out in 2024.

According to the Canada Revenue Agency, the Climate Action Incentive Payment (CAIP) is a tax-free sum designed to assist qualifying individuals and families in mitigating the expenses associated with federal pollution pricing. It comprises a fundamental component and an additional supplement specifically tailored for residents in small and rural communities.
