The colder weather is slowly creepin' in on us here in Montreal and you know what that means. No, not just sweater weather. No, not cuddle weather, either. It's the season to seek out some good ol' fashioned comfort food in Montreal.

Being a foodie city, we've definitely got some great food.

And being a city that deals with some serious cold, we know a thing or two about a hearty meal.

Everyone's got their comfort food. Luckily for us, we've got lots of options.

Craving pizza? There's a spot for you. And don't worry all of you burger-lovers out there, we've got you covered too.

Don't even get me started on you poutine fanatics.

Because they say the way to the heart is through the stomach. But I think that the way to the soul is through the stomach, too.

I mean is there anything better than warming up on a cool evening at an awesome restaurant with some incredible comfort food?

Maybe a glass of red wine in hand, but that's just me.

Check out these restaurants below for some serious comfort food this chilly season.
