Recall Reason: Per the CFIA, "the affected product is being recalled from the marketplace because it contains milk which is improperly declared on the label."

What You Need To Do: Canadians are being asked to not consume recalled products to which they are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. "Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased," the CFIA said.

Recall Reason: According to the recall page, Yoso brand Unsweetened Coconut Plant-Based Yogurt was recalled due to mould.

What You Need To Do: The class three recall applies to the provinces where the plant-based items were sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Per the CFIA "do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product."

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is also urging Canadian consumers to verify any and all food products purchased online and not assume that they meet the following Canadian requirements:

• Caffeine level: The maximum allowed in Canada is 180 mg in a single-serving.
• Unilingual label: If the label is only in one language, or has no English or French on it, it means the product has not been produced for the Canadian market.

Recall Reason: The CFIA has recalled the Enfamil brand baby formula sold across Canada due to possible Cronobacter sakazakii contamination. According to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), "Cronobacter is a bacteria that occurs naturally in the environment. It's sometimes found in dry foods, such as powdered infant formula, powdered milk and herbal teas."

What You Need To Do: The CFIA is verifying that the industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace. As of the time of publishing, no reported illnesses have been associated with consuming the affected baby formula.

Nevertheless, the PHAC indicated that while "food contaminated with Cronobacter sakazakii may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick." This type of bacteria can cause serious bloodstream and nervous system infections, and has been associated with "severe intestinal infections," and "blood poisoning," the PHAC said.
