The second wave is hitting hard. 🚨

For the fourth day in a row, Quebec has recorded more than 1,000 new cases of COVID-19. The results as of Monday, October 5 are also particularly high. With 1,191 people infected in the past 24 hours, the largest increase since the start of the pandemic in Quebec has been recorded.

The previous record was set on October 3, with 1,107 new cases. Previously, it was necessary to go back to April 15, when 1,104 new cases had been added to the balance sheet, to see such high figures, reports the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ)

The total number of infections since this spring is now 79,650.
