You Can Eat Colourful Cereal, Drink A Boozy Latte & Watch Cartoons At This MTL Restaurant
Everybody has that one cereal they think of when they think of Saturday mornings as a kid. For me, it's French Toast Crunch. But remember when you were also a kid and you thought about how you couldn't wait until you were all grown up and could eat your favourite cereals whenever you want? Then Barley is the place for you.
Located in Little Burgundy, Barley is Montreal's first cereal bar.

"What's a cereal bar?" you may ask. Well, it's exactly what you're probably expecting, but it's also so much more than that.
At Barley, you can find some of your favourite cereals, like Coco Puffs Ice Cream, Krave and Oreo O's, layered into the menu is everything from the dishes, to the drinks, to just a straight-up bowl of cereal.
"Some people may see it as a challenge to incorporate," Soufian Mamlouk, Barley's Owner and Creative Director told MTL Blog. "We see it as something that we love to embrace."
You'll also find some more classic dishes, like smoothie bowls, toasts and salads for those days when you're looking for something a little more savoury.
Back in February, Barley embarked on their most ambitious menu yet, bringing in items like the green shakshouka and the classic pancakes.
But it's got a secret ingredient — I asked what it is, but they won't tell anyone.
Just know that they're oh so good!
And for all my fellow gluten-sensitive peeps out there, despite the name, there are lots of options for us, too.
You can also get some of the most delicious and insane lattes ever, thanks to the Canadian Roasting Society, Barley's supplier.
Some of the more popular choices are the charcoal latte, the matcha latte and, of course, the cereal latte.
Try to make it a boozy version or you can try one of the cocktails, which you can imagine is just as fun and exciting.
The team has made some changes to keep things fresh and exciting. They've added a cool new terrasse, with music blaring and cartoons playing, too.
You can also now get your brunch delivered because we all know sometimes you just wanna stay in bed with a big bowl your favourite cereal.
