This Montreal Restaurant Will Take You On A Trip To Brooklyn In The '90s

Next time you're strolling through Old Montreal looking for somewhere to eat, I suggest you check out one of the city's newest and coolest spots. Franklin's Subs and Suds, which is located on rue Saint-Paul, is the place to go where you're searching for a tasty meal. Or some sick new social media content.

Not only is the food incredible but the eatery itself exudes a certain style that you just don't see every day — one that reminds me of Brooklyn a few decades ago.

From the graffiti painted on the walls to the arcade game and funky yellow stools, this spot feels like a trip back in time. And it's vintage Playboy wall really completes the whole look.

A Franklin's employee told MTL Blog that its goal was to give the establishment a true New York feel to it, and I'd say: mission accomplished.

When asked about the menu, we were informed that the most popular dish is the classic Philly cheesesteak, but they also offer "all kinds of subs including a beyond meat one for vegetarians!"

The options for subs feel endless, including a meatball sub and a chicken sub.

Besides that, there's hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, onion rings, poutines, and even sweet milkshakes for you to wash down all those salty treats with.

And of course, fish and chips.

All the good stuff.

And, if you're looking for a good deal, on Thursdays you can get $1 chicken wings

And during basketball games, you can sip on a pitcher of beer for just $20.

Everything about this spot oozes excellence and is absolutely a great addition to the MTL food scene, if you ask me.

Although we already have so many eateries the city, none of the restaurants exude the same Brooklyn style that's found at Franklin's.
