Heinz Ketchup Is Moving To Montreal & It's Hiring To Help Create A Sea Of Ketchup

Pretty soon, a little piece of Montreal will be on dinner tables all around the country — and no, we aren't talking about poutine. Heinz Ketchup, the world's most iconic ketchup brand, is moving production back to Montreal after a six-year vacation and it needs people to help create a literal sea of ketchup.

"The new ketchup line is set to begin operation in late summer 2021," the company said in a statement, and it expects to create 30 new jobs at its production facility in the Town of Mount Royal.

Kraft Heinz Canada is pleased to partner with the Quebec Government on this investment in bringing ketchup production back to Canada from the U.S.

Bruno Keller, President, Kraft Heinz Canada

Over 100 million pounds of Heinz Ketchup will be produced over two years at the facility.

"Through our partnership with Quebec and increased efficiencies at our Mont Royal facility, it became possible to return this iconic product back to Canada for Canadians at this time," said Keller.

Heinz moved its ketchup production to the United States in 2014, which reportedly sparked a bit of controversy among consumers in Canada.

Jobs at Kraft Heinz are posted on the company's career portal.
