The video has gone viral and people have A LOT to say about the person who didn't wear a mask.

A video of a male refusing to wear a mask and starting a fight on an STM bus has garnered attention online. The video was shared on the Facebook group, Spotted: STM, and in less than 24 hours, has 1.4K comments and 1.9K shares.

In the 48-second video, the person in question can be seen fighting with the driver for refusing to wear a mask.

An onlooker can be heard saying, in French, that there is a mask in his pocket. Commenters on the post have noted the same.

At the 0:27 mark, a fellow passenger can be seen also trying to convince the person of the importance of the mask and luckily explaining that it is now mandatory to wear one.

Things seem to escalate and at 0:40, the two can be seen getting into a physical altercation.

Due to a jump in the video, it is unclear who threw the first punch.

Throughout the video, he can be seen drinking from a can, which people have also commented could be a beer. It is not evident if this is, in fact, the case.

But, people have gone off thinking it is.

You can decide for yourself.

Comments on the video cover the full-packed video.

Translation: Disrespect to the driver and the other people. If you don't want to wear a mask it's very simple: walk.

Some have criticized the behaviour and lack of respect.

Others have commented on what they believe is a beer can in hand. And the fact that you're already not supposed to be drinking in an STM bus.

Translation: A sicko like that will always be a man to be avoided... especially with a beer on public transit.

But not everyone agrees. Some believe that the other passenger should mind their own business.

Translation: The other guy should learn how to mind his own business. If he doesn't want to carry it that's his choice and the pigs will take care of that, otherwise, the guy has no business telling him they're bothering everyone and playing cop.

Clearly, people are seeing both sides in this argument.

But, one thing we can say for sure is that Montreal made masks mandatory on all public transport as of July 13. So, the man was playing a risky game choosing not to wear one.
