The Best Quebec Apple Orchards Are All On This Online Map

For many people, autumn in Quebec means one thing: apple picking. Trying to find the best Quebec apple orchard might prove to be a little difficult though. You're in luck, however, because the province's apple producers have heard you loud and clear with a new website and map that will help you find the best apple orchards for your next fall road trip.

Pommes Qualité Québec has over 470 apple producers across the province and for many of us, finding the one to visit is usually a matter of figuring out which is the closest drive.

But what if you wanted a specific apple? Les Pommes du Quebec can help you find the perfect apple, complete with detailed descriptions and even recipes.

But remember, not all apples are the same.

"To be identified as a 'Pomme Qualité Québec,' apples are subject to rigorous quality control," said Quebec's apple producers.

"The inspectors visit all the posts that pack apples from Quebec between September and June of each year."

From your classic red delicious to some lesser-known varieties such as ginger gold and passionata, Quebec truly is an apple paradise.

This website truly is a one-stop-shop for all things apple.

By checking out the map or by searching based on region, you can find an apple orchard in just about every corner of southern Quebec.

Montrealers will be happy to know that a major concentration of the province's apple orchards happens to be only an hour or so out of town.

But if you're up for a longer road trip, you can find apple orchards as far east as Rivière-du-Loup and as far north as Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

One of the best features of this website is its extensive apple recipe list

Nothing is worse than coming home with 10 pounds of apples and having no idea what to do with them. Let's be honest, you can only eat some much apple pie and drink so much cider.

From apple arancinis to apple kebabs, you won't believe what you can make with apples.

So what are you waiting for? Put on some flannel and get those Instagram captions ready, you've got some apple picking to do!
