The SPVM Issued Over 500 Tickets For Curfew Non-Compliance Last Week

On the last week of Montreal's 8 p.m. curfew (for now), the SPVM issued over 800 infractions related to health regulations, 511 of which were for curfew non-compliance according to a tweet.
"From April 26 to May 2, the SPVM [...] issued 878 reports or RIGs and, of these, 511 were issued for non-compliance with the curfew," wrote the SPVM.

Another 522 emergency calls were made to the police related to health infractions.
Montrealers who are used to rushing home before the 8 p.m. curfew will be happy to know that they'll have an extra hour and a half starting on Monday. Quebec's health authorities announced a 9:30 p.m. curfew as of May 3.
Over the weekend, thousands of Montrealers protested against the curfew and COVID-19 vaccine passports, among other things.
