The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall regarding a President's Choice salad kit due to possible listeria monocytogenes.

These products were made using cheese recalled by Rizo-López Foods, Inc. in association with an outbreak investigation in the U.S., per the recall warning page.

Here are the details regarding the current food recall:

The CFIA issued the recall based on the recall triggered in the United States.
Although there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the salad kit in Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is sharing common symptoms associated with listeria contamination.

"Food contaminated with listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness,' the agency indicated.

The CFIA is currently investigating the recall and ensuring that the affected products are being properly removed from the Canadian marketplace.

Additionally, the government agency is urging Canadian consumers to verify if they have the recalled item. If so, it's best to
"not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products," per the CFIA.

Furthermore, the recalled salad kit should be tossed out immediately or returned to the location where it was purchased.
