Drake dragged Montreal into his feud with Kendrick Lamar on a new diss track
Why does he have to drag Montreal into this?

Drake's iron levels should be glowing following his ongoing beef with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.
The duo has been at odds for some time. However, the feud escalated following Lamar's release of "Like That," where he claimed that he was above rappers J. Cole and Drake in March 2024.
Well, Drake wasted no time responding in his track titled "Push Ups," which was leaked online before its official release on April 19 — serving as a response to Lamar's "Like That" diss. And this is where the back and forth began.
Drake and Lamar have been on the grind non-stop this past week, releasing diss track after diss track, one of which alleges that one of Lamar's children isn't biologically his, while Lamar's track, released 20 minutes following Drake's "Family Matters" drop, speaks directly to members of Drake's family, telling his son Adonis that he is "sorry that that man is your father."
In Drake's latest drop, he mentioned Montreal — seemingly dragging the 514 into a feud we want no part of.
The Canadian rapper released "The Heart Part 6" on his Instagram page on May 5, captioning the post with "The Heart Part 6 out now and we know you’re dropping six mins after so instead of posting my address you have a lot to address."
In the very first verse, Drake mentions Montreal, seemingly referring to the city as a "small town." The lyrics read:
"The streets would've had me hidin' out in a small town. My Montreal connects stand up, not fall down. The ones that you're gettin' your stories from, they all clowns."
Fans were quick to react to Drake's Montreal shout-out, many of whom weren't thrilled about it.
"Drake called Montreal a small town…. I’m about to jump in this beef myself," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
"Why did Drake have to drag Montreal into this. Was the CN tower falling not enough for you?" another fan said.
