If you've been thinking "Damn, Montreal's weather has been way milder than we're used to this winter," prepare to be forced to rethink that statement.

The Weather Network predicts that the city won't be feeling any temperatures above -6C for the next 14 days.

As you can see in the graph above, that also means the next two weeks will all be filled with daytime temperatures below the historical average.

Between January 18 and 24, the coldest day is likely to be on Sunday, when it's expected to be -11C but feel like -17C.

You'll definitely need an extra layer or two if you're going on a walk around the city that day.

And, for the sake of consistency I suppose, the following Sunday, January 31, is also supposed to feel like -17C.

It's also supposed to snow during eight of the next 14 days, meaning the white fluff covering our city right now might just be around for a while.

So, bundle up folks, because the cold Montreal winter we know and love is officially here.
