The Montreal airport has unveiled a brand new mascot inspired by none other than Quebec's claim to fame…poutine.

On March 1, 2024, the Montréal–Trudeau International Airport revealed its newest member of the family: YULtine.

"The wait is over! The YUL community is proud to present its new mascot: YULtine," the official Montreal airport page wrote on its Instagram. "She’s thrilled to join the airport community as well as the Montreal mascot family!"

Sporting red and white sneakers and pants, with a YUL label on 'em, YULtine is fully decked out in a cup of French fries, cheese and gravy from the waist up.

YULtine also has red carry-on luggage as an accessory, completely adorned in stickers relating to everything and anything Montreal, including an Expos sticker, the Montreal Canadiens design, the official City of Montreal logo, as well as a few other nods to our city.

The Montreal airport hosted a meet YULtine day upon the mascot's unveiling where tons of Montrealers and travellers alike were able to speak with YULtine and snap some pics with the newest Montreal mascot.

It's safe to say that YULtine's introduction went over well among Montrealers, who were thrilled to meet the new mascot. Furthermore, online fans are also ecstatic with YULtine's presence.

"Wahou. I am excited to meet her," one comment wrote. "Wow! I love this," another person shared.

Considering YULtine's charm and positivity, the new Montreal airport mascot is certain to bring a little bit more joy to the terminals. Especially for those who are a bit more afraid to fly than others.

Welcome to the Montreal family, YULtine.
