There's a fresh year to look forward to just around the corner and I bet we're all excited to leave this year behind us. And because it's never too late to start looking forward to doing new things, we're getting an all-new immersive, permanent exhibit at Montreal's Palais des congrès.

OASIS immersion will be an experience like no other with 360-degree, floor and wall projections "powered by 105 laser projectors and 119 speakers with a surround sound system."

It will span six different zones, each offering a unique, hands-free immersive experience.

Open year-round, our goal is to make OASIS immersion a must-see attraction in Montreal.

Robert Mercure, President and CEO of the Palais des congrès de Montreal.

OASIS has also announced the program for its first exhibition, which will include an immersion "in the space universe of Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut David Saint-Jacques;" a representation of the Danish concept of hygge, which means coziness, well-being, and overall happiness; and "a tour of eight new architectural wonders from around the world."

This permanent exhibit will be the first of its kind at the Palais des congrès and will be available for both public use and private functions.

The project was developed by local artists and entrepreneurs over the past two years.

"At the crossroads of technology, the arts and discovery, the OASIS immersion experience is in line with new experiential trends," said Nicolas Lassonde, Senior Vice-President, Business Strategy, and co-founder of OASIS immersion.

The space opens in 2021.
