The Montreal Biodome Is Officially Reopening After Years Of Renovations

There's good news for all nature and animal-lovers in the city because the Montreal Biodome is officially reopening at the end of the month! The iconic Biodome was closed to the public for two whole years while it was being renovated. Everyone's favourite exhibits are back and better than ever, with a completely revamped and refreshed nature experience.

"A revitalized, multisensory, far more immersive experience awaits as you make your way through the five ecosystems of the Americas," Espace pour la vie wrote in a statement.

There are plenty of new features to discover, such as new observation platforms in the rainforest, a new view of the lynx habitat in the maple forest, and a totally new hallway made of ice leading to the penguin section.

"The current pandemic is showing us, once again, just how much we need nature, but also to what degree we have become disconnected from it," said Charles-Mathieu Brunelle, director of Espace pour la vie.

"Reconnecting with nature, appreciating it, and getting to know and understand it better is the first step in what is becoming a crucial movement to protect it."

You can book your tickets today for the Biodome's grand reopening on August 31, 2020.

"I invite you all to come in large numbers to see the amazing new changes at the Biodome," said Mayor Valérie Plante in an Instagram story.

"A visit to the Biodome reminds us just how lucky we are to live in a place with such rich biodiversity and underscores the enormous responsibility we have to protect and preserve it."

A huge reopening party is happening to celebrate the return of Montreal's beloved Biodome.

You're sure to be amazed by the dramatic new observation decks and the renovated architecture that makes the Biodome so unique.

To make you feel even more immersed in nature, the Biodome has removed all its touch screen information panels and has released a new app that visitors can download to guide them on their tour.

The grand reopening party will happen on August 31.
