As the weather warms up across the city, Montreal terrasse season is getting that much closer. And if you're looking for the ideal spot to sip your summer away, then Montreal's newest terrasse might do the trick.

While Montreal is home to countless must-try eateries, a brand new concept is joining the roster of impressive rooftop lounges next month and it's expected to be an urban oasis.

Terrasse Alizé will officially open its doors on May 2, promising a warm and lively atmosphere, perfect for a 5 à 7, date night, and everything in between. Located on the 9th floor of the boutique hotel, Humaniti Montreal, Terrasse Alizé will be full of greenery, including flowers and an elevated garden area.

The new Montreal terrasse will be able to seat up to 120 guests with outdoor heating and extensive coverings, so you won't have to worry about rain ruining your nights out this summer.

The concept was developed by Chef Jean-Sébastian Giguère, who crafted a menu full of mouthwatering bites including seasonal delicacies like shrimp roll, scallop ceviche, beef tartare and fresh oysters.

The drinks menu is just as elevated, with a range of refreshing cocktails like the Mojito Alizé, made with rum, peach puree, maple and mint, or the Air du Thym, made with rum, Sivo Shaman, pineapple and thyme.

The Palomastis, made with tequila, Campari, pastis and grapefruit, could be your new signature summer drink.

"We can't wait to welcome our future guests and introduce them to this new haven in the heart of the city, just in time for the start of the summer season. Whether it's an after-work celebration with colleagues or a dinner with friends, Terrasse Alizé will exceed your expectations and offer you an experience worthy of an urban terrace," says Andy Ryan, Terrasse Alizé's Maître d'hôtel.

The Montreal rooftop terrasse will also host events that are bound to add a little pep to your step including Latin Rhythms on Tuesdays and Nostalgic 90s every Friday night.

Terrasse Alizé will be open daily from noon to 11 p.m., with or without reservation.

Cheers, Montreal.
