The Montreal police are investigating after a 28-year-old man was found dead in a parking lot in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville early Wednesday morning. He had an upper-body gunshot wound.

Public details are few so far. According to SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin, the discovery occurred at around 3 a.m., when a caller reported an unconscious individual in the parking lot of a business on boulevard Henri-Bourassa.

The incident occurred at around 10 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call concerning a person injured by a gunshot. A man was stabbed to death overnight in Montreal's Mile-End. Police were called just after 5 a.m. on Friday morning about an armed altercation near the corner of rue Jeanne-Mance and avenue Van Horne. Officers found a victim of unknown age who was pronounced dead on the scene. The man is the 26th homicide victim in the city this year.
