Rapper Slowthai, real name Tyron Frampton, age 27, wore a shirt prominently displaying a bright red swastika during his on-stage performance at Osheaga on July 30. The shirt also has, in smaller, less colourful font, the word "DESTROY" written above the fascist symbol. Upon close inspection, the intended meaning of the shirt is clearer: destroy Nazism. But when worn on a giant stage far away from most of the crowd... Oh boy. It just looks like a Nazi shirt.

Instagram account @stop_antisemitism drew attention to the incident with a video showing the shirt in question:

And just like that, Osheaga 2022 has come and gone. The acclaimed Montreal festival featured performances from some big names including Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Future, Arcade Fire and Kygo, to name a few.

While the music is definitely the spirit behind Osheaga, the festival vibes aren't complete without some impressive festival fashion. Well, this year's fashion choices certainly didn't disappoint as festivalgoers showed up and showed out in matching ensembles, western chic, fringe fabulousness, metallic moments, pretty-in-pink posses and sparkles galore.

Osheaga's lineup was shaken up when headliners Foo Fighters had to cancel their performance after the tragic death of one of their membres. For the past three weeks, nobody knew who was going to replace them for this summer's Osheaga performance. On April 14, Osheaga organizers announced that Arcade Fire will be headlining in lieu of The Foo Fighters.

"A major milestone always means the most when celebrated with family," Osheaga organizers wrote on Facebook. "So for our 15th anniversary, it just made sense to book the band that has resonated so profoundly in the heart of our city over the last few decades."
