You don't have to travel to Taiwan to experience the magic (and deliciousness) of an Asian night market — from the vibrant colours to the aromatic scents to the lively sounds. In fact, you don't have to go any further than Montreal's local T&T Supermarché in Ville Saint-Laurent.

Building on the success of the inaugural event last year, T&T Montreal's Asian night market, in collaboration with Marché de Nuit Asiatique, will be doubling in size when it returns this month. That means 100+ mouthwatering dishes from more than 30 restaurants and stores — and, yes, lots of street food!

There will also be market stalls selling unique products, crafts and cultural treasures, plus a lineup of activities that celebrate the richness of Asian culture, including artisan booths, engaging games and live DJ music.

“We’re so excited to partner with Marche de Nuit Asiatique to bring back this amazing event,” said Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarket, in a press release.

"Montreal has a vibrant food culture which aligns so much with what we believe in at T&T. [...] We’re proud this event has become the largest night market in Montreal, and this year T&T is going to bring food outside too, with exclusive new dishes such as XXL fried chicken, grilled lobster, and curry jumbo fish ball."

Attendees can indulge in a culinary adventure filled with diverse flavours from China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines plus other Asian countries. According to the release, dishes to be expected include:

  • Sticky rice rolls,
  • Paul Wong's whole BBQ squid,
  • Yakisoba sandwiches from Le Soba Croquant,
  • Chicken wings in fish sauce from Golden Lotus,
  • Portuguese tarts,
  • Aromatic dumplings,
  • Sizzling skewers,
  • Refreshing bubble tea,
  • and more.

"With more vendors, a grander celebration, and a punch of fun, flavours, and traditions, this is an event you won’t want to miss!" reads an Instagram post for the event.
