We Just Tried All 4 New Tim Hortons Iced Capps And Here's The Best One

The sugar is real!

So, I'm over here reeling from a sugar high and subsequent sugar crash as I'm writing this... a lot like when I went and tried all three of the new Tim Hortons Slushys.

I also have the added energy of the caffeine in the four all-new Iced Capps that Tim Hortons unveiled today.

The four new flavours are Vanilla, Mocha, Oreo and Salted Caramel... and I definitely have a surprising favourite.

I was definitely most excited about the Oreo and Salted Caramel flavours, as I was intrigued to see how they would hold up against their Starbucks Frappuccino counterparts.

Seen above on the left is the Oreo Iced Capp. I have to say, all four of the new flavours really do taste most like the basic Iced Capp coffee flavouring. My assumption is that all of these new drinks are made with the same base and then the extra flavours are just added in.

Which would explain the INTENSE sweetness of all four of these bad boys. The Salted Caramel flavour is on the bottom right below, and the Caramel drizzle was awesome... but the classic Iced Capp flavour definitely won out over any extra flavouring.

So while I went in thinking that the Oreo would be my fave, it paled in comparison to the Java Chip Frappuccino at Starbucks, which was my go-to iced drink when I was 14 and didn't actually like coffee yet.

Surprisingly enough, the Mocha flavour was my favourite without question. It was the least sweet and the extra chocolate-coffee flavour paired perfectly with the classic Iced Capp flavour.

The Vanilla was a total pass for me. It was way too sweet and... well, everyone knows what vanilla tastes like. Nothing special there.

If I were to go back to Tims in the near future, it would definitely be to pick up the Mocha Iced Capp... and if they're able to make them half sweet, I'd opt for that... because the sugar crash is real right now, guys.

The release of these new Iced Capps coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the Iced Capp in Canada. They'll also be releasing a chocolate chip Iced Capp later this month. Head to Tim Hortons' press release to get more details on price and nutritional information.
