Opening a new restaurant in downtown Montreal is always a risky venture. But to do so during the pandemic — a painful time for eateries and the people who work in them — might seem like an impossible task.\nYet family-owned chicken rotisserie chain Benny&Co. has done just that with the launch of a new location at 1175, boul. The $4.5 million investment will create about 100 jobs, the company said.\nMontreal Mayor Valérie Plante praised the company for opening downtown, stating, "the economic recovery of Montreal and its downtown area is underway, and we are confident that, with the contribution of partners like Benny&Co., we can make it a success."
