Quebec's Amber Alert Has Been Cancelled & The Baby Is 'Safe & Sound'

A 2-month-old baby was abducted in Waterloo.

Officials issued an Amber Alert in Quebec on April 14 for 2-month-old Wesley Labrecque, allegedly abducted in Waterloo at 11 a.m. by 22 year-old Xavier Labrecque, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

However, by 2:45 p.m., the Amber Alert was cancelled and the SQ reported that the child was found "safe and sound."

An SQ spokesperson told MTL Blog the child was found in the town of Shefford.

The 22-year-old was driving a 2015 black Honda Civic, police said. 

No photos were available for identifying both individuals.
