The buzzing sound of an Amber Alert in Montreal woke up many people in the city early Tuesday morning.

The alert declared that a 16-year-old girl, had been abducted on Monday evening at 11:05 p.m.

The young girl was marked "safe and sound" a few hours after the Amber Alert was sent out.

At 7 a.m., the Montreal police tweeted to let the population know that she had been found and thanked everyone for their help.

Half an hour later, the SPVM added, "A suspect has been arrested in this case and the investigation is ongoing."
