When you go to a new city, it's one thing to visit like a tourist, but it's another to really make yourself a mini-life in your new surroundings and get a sense of home. And that's exactly what the new Griffintown Hotel wants to help you to feel. The first-of-its-kind apartment-style hotel has officially opened its doors and is offering a "neighbourhood-type" experience.

Proven to be popular overseas, the apartment accommodation concept is new to the Montreal market and plans to change the hotel game on the island.

Going beyond the standard room, Griffintown Hotel offers one- and two-bedroom condo-style apartments (395 to 845 square feet), perfect for up to five adults for an extended stay.

The hotel wants to give guests more than just a hotel stay — a fully equipped experience, with everything from in-unit laundry to everything you need to make a home-cooked meal.

This is "your home away from home."

But of course, even at home, when you don't feel like cooking, you can head out and enjoy some of Montreal's famous culinary treasures, including the famous Pizzeria Moretti, which is just a three-minute walk on Google Maps.

Located between in the ultra-trendy neighbourhood of Griffintown, it offers great access to some of the city's most sought-out districts, like Old Montreal and downtown.

And because it's meant to feel like home, the decor is chic and modern, while also being warm and comfortable.

Each unit also has an incredible view, whether it's the canal, the skyline or the iconic Farine Five Roses sign.

Guests also have access to 24-hour concierge service and an indoor garage.

Of course, as we head back into hotels for the first time in months, health and safety are on everyone's minds.

Griffintown Hotel isn't just following sanitation guidelines but enhancing them.

Among the precautions taken are a two-step apartment-preparation process, 24-hours between bookings, as well as individual ventilation systems for the unit.

"Our vision is perfectly in tune with today's reality. We offer a safe and autonomous environment while providing hotel standards and services," says Laura-Michèle Grenier Martin, General Manager of Griffintown Hotel.

So get ready for a game-changing experience and welcome to your home away from home.
