Montreal was recently ranked among the sexiest Canadian cities but our score isn't as high as you would think.

PinkCherry, one of Canada's largest retailers of adult sex toys, released its annual list of Canada's Sexiest Cities and Montreal was the only city in the province of Quebec to have made the cut.

However, Quebec did, in fact, make up for its lacklustre performance in the city category with Canada's Sexiest Town list, with three Quebec destinations gaining recognition.

To compile the spicy ranking, PinkCherry measured the Canadian city's sexiness factor according to consumer purchases and behaviours from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.

To make the ranking as fair as possible, PinkCherry based its list on the most sex toy sales per person for the Top 10 Sexiest Cities with populations over 300,000, and the Top 10 Sexiest Town with populations below that threshold.

Calgary was ranked first, with Edmonton and Winnipeg rounding off the top five of the sexiest cities in Canada.

So, where exactly did Montreal land? We were ranked ninth overall. Now, while this might not seem like the best placement, Montreal's rank is actually a good thing.

Considering the ranking is based on PinkCherry consumer purchases, this means Montrealers are likely living out their sexual desires with other Montrealers rather than toys — although who doesn't love a little extra fun once in a while?

Per PinkCherry, Montreal consumers ranked 180th for vibrator purchases, 174th for dildos and bondage and 178th for male masturbation toys. So, it's safe to say we're keeping ourselves very busy across the 514.

As for the Sexiest Towns across Canada, PinkCherry ranked Roberval, Quebec first. The town of Amos was ranked second, while Lachute, Quebec rounded off the list in the 10th spot.
