Montreal's food scene is on fire this week, offering everything from jiggly, cat-shaped desserts to exclusive brunch events that'll cure any Nuit Blanche hangover.

Aside from the seasonal return of McDonald's Shamrock Shake and the chance to craft your own pasta bowl at a new restaurant, you can sip local wine at a Saint-Henri café or score Montreal macarons for a steal.

Here are this week's highlights for new and special eats:

Léché Desserts 5 à 7

When: March 7, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Where: 640, rue Courcelle

Léché Après Hours is starting a new monthly 5 à 7 at their cozy café, focusing on local and organic wines available by the bottle or glass. For the inaugural event, Chef Josie Weitzenbauer will craft special, one-night-only dishes. Interested guests should RSVP via direct message to secure a table, as spots are limited.

This viral milk- and gelatin-based dessert is almost too adorable to eat. The cat-shaped treat is a playful take on traditional Italian panna cotta, made with vanilla-flavored cream. You have the chance to try it at the downtown café daily after 1:30 p.m. Only 10 servings are available per day.
