Food In Montreal: Free McDonald's Coffee, An Old Port Restaurant Festival & Sugar Shack Pizza

Montreal has some appealing food offers this weekend and ino March. McDonald's is handing out free coffee for a short time, and an Old Port food festival will have deals at nearly a dozen restaurants. There's also a new Middle Eastern brunch in Laval and keep an eye out for a special themed pizza topped with maple syrup.
If you're after a free drink, a good meal without spending too much, or just want to try something new, here's where to go:

McDonald's has refreshed the look of its McCafé items, which now feature the company's recognizable "golden arches" on a brown background. To celebrate the redesign, they're offering customers a free small hot or iced coffee through the McDonald's app. You can get your complimentary roast at participating locations until February 26, 2024.
Happening Gourmand
From March 1 to March 30, ten Old Port restaurants will serve special table d’hôte menus at set prices. You can enjoy three-course dinners for $39, $49, or $59, or opt for a two-course brunch starting at $29 on weekends, as part of the Happening Gourmand food festival.
Participating venues include Brasserie 701, Bevo Bar + Pizzeria, Kyo Bar Japonais, Maggie Oakes, Méchant Boeuf, Modavie, Pincette, Gaspar, Jacopo, and Vieux-Port Steakhouse. It's your chance to sample gourmet meals for a steal.
Babacool brunch

Babacool Centropolis has a new brunch menu to spice up your weekend with Middle Eastern fare. Every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can indulge in grilled homemade pita ($3) with zaatar spices, the sweet and savory cheese cigar ($13) with honey and sesame, and the Greek-style halloumi salad ($18).
The menu also features a breakfast sandwich ($14) with brioche, egg, smoked ham, bacon, cheese, tomato, and lettuce, alongside the egg & dip ($19), offering ricotta scrambled eggs with labneh, mouhamara, pita, and olives.

This weekend, Segreta is serving up a special pizza that's a nod to sugar shack culture, a tradition steeped in the springtime harvesting of maple sap to make syrup. They're topping their signature al taglio crust with prosciutto cotto, Canadian bacon, and caramelized onions, then drizzling the whole thing with spicy maple syrup.
