Jean-Talon Market is serving up a double treat this June with two weekends of back-to-back Montreal brunch featuring creative six-course menus and exclusive dishes from top chefs.

The Grand Brunch des Pâtissiers on June 8 and 9 will turn the second floor of the iconic Little Italy market into a pastry showcase.

Eleven top pastry chefs will present a multi-course meal crafted with edible flowers and plants. You can expect buffalo ricotta tartlets with a sweet-salty dandelion crust from the Ratafia team, and hojicha tea cream with elderflower mousse from Christian Campos of Pâtisserie Farine & Cacao.

Other highlights include fresh cheese and rose cream from Natacha Lehmann of Pâtisserie Clémentine, and wild chamomile ganache from Aurélien Kerzerho of Pâtisserie Mélilot.

You can wash it all down with a mimosa and a selection of Quebec beverages, including ciders, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options. Sessions are available at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on both days.

The prior weekend, on June 1 and 2, Jean-Talon Market will host the Grand Brunch Mange ton Saint-Laurent. The event features delicacies specific to the St. Lawrence River, Estuary, and Gulf.

Eight renowned chefs will prepare a six-course menu featuring dishes like snow crab with seaweed kimchi from Adrian Pastor and Riwan Maire of Projet Yaku, and smoked turbot scotch eggs from Chloé Ouellet and Juliette Fraser Chouinard of Au Pâturage – Espace Gourmand.

Other dishes include Quebec scallop ceviche from Amine Nasrallah of Chaud Devant!, and Pavlova with cranberry cream from Rémy Couture, a chef pâtissier consultant. The brunch includes a mimosa along with other Quebec-specific drinks. You can choose from sessions at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Each brunch weekend is a perfect excuse to treat yourself to something special. Tickets are sold in groups of two, so you can share the experience. Prices are $150 for the first weekend and $180 for the second. They're expected to sell out, so don't "waffle" on securing your spot.
