Three Quebec schools ranked in the top 10 best universities in Canada for research — and two of them are right here in Montreal.

Research Infosource released its 2022 list of Canada's Top 50 Research Universities, and McGill University and the Université de Montréal ranked third and fourth, respectively. The two institutions were upstaged by the University of British Columbia (2), and the University of Toronto (1).

A Quebec university's job posting* that's not open to white men is troubling a few politicians. Calls for candidates for Canada Research Chair positions at the Université Laval in Quebec City are reserved for women, disabled people, Indigenous people, and people from visible minorities.

The university says the practice aligns with its Inclusion Action Plan.

Okay, who here remembers Gilmore Girls? Everyone? Great. It was pretty much standard viewing in the early 2000s (its first episode aired 16 years ago, by the way, and I don't know about you guys, but that factoid is actually terrifying to me!) and its quick witted, fresh take on the standard mother-daughter relationship helped make it one of the most popular shows of the time.

Gilmore Girls came to an untimely end in 2007, and although most of us have been coping pretty well (with the help of Netflix marathons, of course), there are a select few of us who have been dying to know what Rory and Lorelai have been up since the series' end.
