Health Canada has published several consumer product recalls regarding a slew of baby walkers that pose a serious injury risk to children.

The baby walkers were sold across Canada despite being banned nationwide.

"Children in baby walkers are exposed to hazards that would not normally be accessible if the child were not supported by the walker, posing a variety of risks of injury to the child. Children in baby walkers can also fall down the stairs, which could result in injury or death," Health Canada said.

Here are the details regarding the recalled products:

  • Kikkaboo Baby Walker | Models: Car, Clavier, Forest, Lady Bug, Misty, Ocean Party and Unicorn
  • Olmitos Baby Walker | Models: Basic Zoo Walker, Animals, Best Friends, Car, F.1., and Stars
  • Plastimyr Baby Walker | Colours: Blue, Grey and Pink

As for the Olmitos baby walkers, Health Canada indicated that approximately 700 units of the affected item were sold across Canada (from April 2023 to December 2023).

As of February 7, 2024, neither company has received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
