Hello there, Montreal Star Wars fans. With Star Wars Day fast approaching on May 4, we thought it only right to say, "May the fourth be with you" — and we're not the only ones who have started celebrating.

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has updated its Montreal metro map for the occasion, giving the names of our city's underground stations Star Wars-themed makeovers.

Does anyone need to transfer at Lionel-Grogu? How about a trip to the Notre-Dame Basilica — just get off at Place Darth.

In the comments section, people have been sounding off about the best intergalactic adaptations.

"'Lune-Concordia' is such a specific reference. I love the STM!" wrote Instagram user @ethand.a.

Based on the comments, other fan-favourite rebrands — coming to us from a transit network far, far away — include:

  • Beaudry Wan Kenobi (Beaudry),
  • Peelpatine (Peel),
  • Mandalaurier (Laurier),
  • C3Pie-IX (Pie-IX),
  • Chewbaccadie (Acadie),
  • Wookie-UQAM (Berri-UQAM),
  • and AT-ATwater (Atwater).

Since each of Montreal's 68 metro stations have been renamed, we won't bore you by going through them all. You can check out the new map for yourself on the STM Instagram page.

If you leave a comment (and you're 18 or older), you have a chance to win an exclusive poster of the 'May The Fourth' edition metro map. Five winners will be chosen at random on May 6 at noon.

This isn't the first time the STM has joined in on holiday fun. In the past, the transport agency has also made special edition maps for Valentine's Day and Christmas.
