A Man Was Shot In Montreal Sunday Evening & Police Are Calling It An 'Attempted Murder'

The shooting happened in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

A 32-year-old man was shot in Montreal Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. and police are deeming it an "attempted murder."

The shooting took place in a mall parking lot in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. Witnesses told police that the shooting followed a conflict that occurred inside a parked vehicle.

SPVM spokesperson Véronique Comtois told MTL Blog that as the victim exited the vehicle, one of the suspects shot him and then all the suspects reportedly fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim received a gunshot to his lower body and remained conscious while being brought to the hospital. Comtois confirmed that the man's life is not in danger.

Investigators are still in the process of analyzing the case and at the time of writing this article, the suspects had not yet been located and no arrests had been made.
