Montreal has ranked among the top 10 best cities in the world in the annual Time Out Index 2021.

Our lovely metropolis has ranked alongside global heavyweights like San Francisco (top spot), Amsterdam (second) and New York City (fifth) and was the only Canadian spot on the list of 37 cities.

Manchester (third) and Copenhagen (fourth) round out the top five.

Montreal is the sixth-best city in the world according to the index, ranking above places like Prague, Tel Aviv, Porto and Tokyo.

"Montreal is famous for its non-conformist music and politics, and those differences have brought the city together more than ever recently," Time Out wrote in a press release.
