The Montreal Canadiens’ team photo includes some hilariously candid moments (PHOTOS)

The Montreal Canadiens recently gathered on ice at Centre Bell for their traditional team photo session. Although the final team shot is still pending, the Habs gave fans a glimpse into their playful camaraderie with behind-the-scenes snapshots, revealing a lighter (and goofier) side to some of the team's prominent names.

In the spotlight during the team pic was of course Cole Caufield, who can be seen smiling ear to ear in the very first shot shared on the Canadiens' official Instagram page. Standing in between Juraj Slafkovský and Kirby Dach, Caufield's grin tells us everything we need to know about how that day went. That and the fact that the trio are all looking in opposite directions.

Slafkovský also captured a hilarious moment between Caufield and David Savard, where the two can be seen posing seriously into the camera (well, Savard was taking it seriously — Caufield was, of course, smiling). Nevertheless, the two are delivering a smize Tyra Banks herself would be proud of.

As the camera pans out, you can spot both Mike Matheson and Brendan Gallagher cracking up on the bench along with Slafkovský, who seemingly could not contain his laughter after snapping a pic of Gallagher.

Alex Newhook and Arber Xhekjaj also joined in on the laughs, making it clear the day was likely filled with all kinds of Habs shenanigans.

Fans were quick to share their thoughts in the comments, expressing nothing but love for the behind-the-scenes moment.

"Just a bunch of happy kids," one Habs fan wrote. "Cole looks like he’s someone’s little brother next to these two," another user said.

The candid shots also got many Habs fans in the hopeful spirit, with many saying they are getting nothing but great vibes from this year's roster of players.

"Feeling excited about the upcoming years! The future is promising," one fan said. "Tres belle gang! I have high hopes for the many seasons to come!! Go Habs Go," another wrote.
