Starbucks fans across Canada are in for a magical treat starting tomorrow, October 22, with the launch of two new colourful witchy drinks inspired by Wicked.

According to Starbucks, the new limited-time seasonal beverages — Glinda's Pink Potion and Elphaba's Cold Brew — are part of a collaboration with Universal Pictures to celebrate the theatrical release of the highly anticipated Wicked movie next month. It's officially time to step into fall mode, and Starbucks is keeping the cozy vibes coming with the second release of its seasonal fall drinks.

After rolling out the initial fall menu last month, featuring the return of iconic fall favourites like the full pumpkin spice lineup and the Apple Crisp Oat Macchiato, Starbucks Canada has just added two pecan-flavoured delights to the mix, and they're already available in cafes across the country.

The beginning of the holiday season is a corporate fabrication. Electric displays, lurid retail window decorations and plastic gifts are the true heralds of the months-long buildup to the December holidays. But free stuff somehow makes it all tolerable. Starbucks Canada is bringing back its holiday season free cup giveaway, offering reusable red tumblers to customers who order a so-called handcrafted fall or winter beverage on November 17.

Canadians don't even have to leave the comfort of their homes to claim theirs. The promotion is valid for in-store, drive-thru, Starbucks app and Uber Eats purchases.

Well, summer is over. At least unofficially. Starbucks announced Monday that its famous Pumpkin Spice Latte is back across Canada as of Tuesday, August 24.

The cold brew with pumpkin cream will also return on the same date, along with the coffee chain's beloved fall snacks: the pumpkin scone, pumpkin cream cheese muffin and pumpkin bread.
