Food recalls in Canada: Wine, mushrooms, chocolate and more grocery items to look out for

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled food items sold across Canada that could pose a serious health and safety risk to Canadian consumers.
The CFIA is currently conducting an investigation to ensure that all recalled products, which have been flagged for reasons including mould, listeria and undeclared ingredients, are being properly removed from the marketplace.
It's best to verify if you have any of the recalled food products. If you do, it's important to follow the instructions laid out by the CFIA below.

Recall Reason: The CFIA has recalled the Jeden Tag brand Remoulade due to mould.
What You Need To Do: The federal health department is urging consumers to "not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product."

Recall Reason: Per the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Brancott Estate Marlborough 2023 brand Sauvignon Blanc was recalled due to undeclared sulphites.
What You Need To Do: The product has been sold online throughout Canada and in stores in Ontario and Quebec. Canadian consumers are being asked to not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.
K-Fresh Enoki mushroom

Recall Reason: Per the recall warning page, the affected product is being recalled from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
What You Need To Do: The CFIA says that if you suspect illness from a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider and check for recalled items. It's also best to avoid consuming or distributing recalled products, and dispose of or return them to the point of purchase. Listeria contamination may not be evident but can cause severe symptoms, especially for vulnerable groups like pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

Recall Reason: The President's Choice brand Milk Chocolate with Toasted Coconut was recalled due to undeclared hazelnut.
What You Need To Do: Per the CFIA, consumers should "not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product."

Recall Reason: The affected product is being recalled from the marketplace because it contains eggs, which is not declared on the label, the CFIA indicated.
What You Need To Do: Per the federal health department, consumers should "not consume recalled products to which they are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction." Consumers are being encouraged to toss them out right away and return them to their point of purchase.

Recall Reason: The CFIA has recalled the Alumauy brand Sweet Pepper due to undeclared gluten and non-permitting colours.
What You Need To Do: The federal agency has advised residents of Quebec, Ontario and Alberta to "not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute recalled products."

Recall Reason: The MAPAQ is recalling the pre-made foods sold at Marché Lian Tai in Montreal, Quebec as they contain say, wheat, sesame and possibly fish, which is not properly labeled on the package.
What You Need To Do: This warning applies only to consumers with an allergy to soy, sesame, fish or wheat, or to those with celiac disease or another disease induced by the ingestion of gluten, the MAPAQ said. Furthermore, anyone in possession of one of these products is advised not to consume it. instead, they should either return it to the store where they purchased it or throw it away.
