The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled several foods sold across Canada for reasons that pose a serious risk to the health and safety of Canadian consumers.

The CFIA has pulled the recalled products from the Canadian marketplaces for issues involving undeclared ingredients, the presence of metal pieces, as well as salmonella contamination.

It's best to verify if you have any of the recalled food products. If so, the CFIA urges Canadian consumers to not sell, distribute, use, or consume the recalled foods.

Here are the six grocery items to look out for:

Recall Reason: The Flamingo brand Chicken Burgers Gluten Free items have been recalled across Canada due to the presence of pieces of metal.

What You Need To Do: "Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products," the CFIA said.

Recall Reason: Per the CFIA, the affected products are being recalled from the marketplace due to possible salmonella contamination. Only eggs with the specific lot code information in the list above are affected.

What You Need To Do: "Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the recalled product are advised to contact their retailer," the CFIA said. Additionally, the agency has listed the symptoms associated with salmonella poisoning.

"Food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections."
